Performance wise
Rajini's performance had some mass movements but this time he let the content dominate the film. He has started to become more subtle in his performance.
Big B's Tamil Debut is amazing. He is given a role in which he does justice. The combination scenes between bachchan and rajini bring out the difference of opinion over encounters.
Fahadh Faasil has excelled once again in this film. He brings in his natural comic style as Patrick.
Manju Warrier plays a social media influencer who helps Rajini rectify his mistake. Her performance as a wife is motivation enough.
Rana Daggubati is an amazing villain who could ooze his charm and bring his suave attitude in his villainism. His performance reminds us of people who try to scam us by looting people's money in the name of offering jobs.
Dushara Vijayan's performance as a whistle blower who pays with her life is a reminder of how corrupt people kill honesty. It was an amazing work done.
Rithika Singh's performance as a cop is a performance that I felt was not utilised properly.
Asal Kolaar was a relevation for his acting chops as an innocent guy was flexed to the maximum.
Technical wise:
The story and screenplay was real but it had some moments that diluted it. TJ Gnanavel struck gold as a director after Jai Bhim. This film focused on the difference between hasty justice and speedy justice.
Anirudh 's music was the key factor that worked so well in the film. Kudos to him for bringing back the voice of Malaysia Vasudevan.
Anbariv's stunts were also subtle and not high octane. Cinematography by S.R Kathir was neat and crisp.
Overall: The film is a content oriented film that Rajinikanth chose as a risk and that fortunately paid off.
IMO, Rajini delivered a subtly stylish performance in a content oriented film. In his own words; Kuri Vecha, Erai Vizhanum
